I'm bored where I am. Now what?

This happens more often than expected. You’ve selected an area to visit expecting a variety of activities only to find out that you have done everything and seen everything in a short period of time,  Now what?

TIP:  An internet search for “which public bus line in Berlin Germany for sightseeing” (substitute your location for Berlin).  This should give you the number of the public bus line that passes many of the local spots of interest and from there you can determine where to catch it. Riding through an unfamiliar city may show you things in the surrounding area that you had not been aware of.

Search the internet for suggested day trips from your location. For instance if you are in Canterbury England and you have exhausted the sites of the city, then maybe a quick trip to see the white cliffs of Dover or Leeds Castle (BTW:  this is a great spot for families, anyone that likes castles with a moat, hedgerow maze and gardens, birds of prey, and a lot more!)

TIP:  When selecting day trips consider the transportation time there and back within one day as well as when/where you will eat. Returning a bit late in the evening hoping to find an open restaurant might be difficult if you are staying in a small village.. Also verify tickets are available for both the activity and the transportation as well as the days the site is closed and the hours of operation.
